SeePoint announced that LCMC Health has selected SeePoint’s self service kiosk technology for its patient check-in services at the new University Medical Center New Orleans and its affiliated network. More than 40 kiosks have already been deployed throughout new, 2.3 million sq. ft. medical complex and network locations.
Recognizing that top tier efficiency and customer service are vital to good care, LCMC selected SeePoint’s VantagePoint self service check-in kiosks as an indispensable part of this strategy. The kiosks can confirm the identity of the user, present medical and demographic information for review, determine if a co-pay is necessary and then collect credit card payments if required. SeePoint kiosk systems directly interface with the practice management and electronic healthcare records systems.
The LCMC patient check-in kiosks utilize privacy filters built directly into the touchscreens to protect user information and comply with HIPAA regulations. Additionally, the kiosks incorporate specialized antibacterial coatings to reduce the transmission of virus. The stainless steel kiosk systems include replaceable signage allowing the hospitals to provide instructions and promote usage.
