Kravis Center for Performing Arts Adds Self Service Box Office with SeePoint TicketPoint Kiosks
West Palm Beach / FL - Friday, September 15, 2017 -
The Raymond R. Kravis Center for Performing Arts in downtown West Palm Beach, FL has added a self service box office to the lobby of its primary venue, the 2195-seat Dreyfoos Hall, using self service ticketing kiosks from SeePoint Technology.
The Kravis Center for Performing Arts, with its growing national and international reputation, is one of the premier performing arts centers in the Southeast. It includes four venues, with more than 1400 events hosted per year and attendance of more than 500,000 guests annually. With a full events calendar and attendance on the rise, the Center wanted to provide the best possible experience by offering a self service box office to its guests and purchased four of SeePoint’s TicketPoint systems. The TicketPoint kiosks add to the guest experience by meeting the ticketing needs of more patrons at a faster rate, especially at times of peak demand prior to the start of a performance.
The Kravis Center selected the TicketPoint for its flexibility, reliability and elegant design. The TicketPoint kiosks provide fanfold ticket printing using seamlessly integrated, industry standard BOCA ticket printers, making them easily compatible with the BOCA printers already utilized in the Center’s traditional box office. SeePoint also integrated industry leading EMV compliant card readers to the Center’s TicketPoint kiosks so the systems provide the latest, most secure form of payment processing. The Center’s ticketing systems also feature fully integrated, industry standard Motorola USB barcode scanners to support couponing, promotions, reticketing and redemption. The elegant design and slim profile of the TicketPoint systems made them a natural fit for the Kravis Center, which was designed by internationally renowned architect Eberhard Zeidler.
The TicketPoint interactive kiosk allows customers to purchase and print new or previously purchased tickets almost instantaneously. This system provides unmatched speed and convenience by allowing customers to bypass long box office or will call lines and also reduces staffing costs at the venue. To activate the system, just touch the 22 inch screen and follow the prompts. A customer simply swipes a credit card through a card reader, which is securely integrated into the TicketPoint system, to buy tickets or recall preexisting order information. The TicketPoint then prints and dispenses fanfold tickets.
TicketPoint kiosks are extremely easy to support and maintain. All components are fully and securely integrated into the system, and there are no exposed cables, wires or ports on the system to prevent tampering. Additionally, a low ticket sensor indicates when stored tickets need replenishing, allowing a ticket outage to be anticipated before it happens. The modular design of the TicketPoint makes it easy to restock tickets, maintain and service the systems. Authorized personnel may quickly and effortlessly replenish ticket stock by opening the TicketPoint's key lock cabinet.
